Saparmyrat Palwanow, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Kingdom of Belgium, met with Kostis Geropoulos, one of the founders of NE Global Media and its director for energy and climate policy, as well as security issues. The meeting focused on expanding cooperation in the media sector, bringing Turkmenistan’s international initiatives to the attention of the global community, and developing relations with the European Union and its member states.
The discussions also highlighted Turkmenistan’s experience in organising international events. Kostis Geropoulos spoke highly of the significance of international events held both in Turkmenistan and abroad. Particular attention was drawn to international meetings hosted in the Avaza National Tourist Zone, which brought together leaders from countries across the region and received a positive response in Europe. It was emphasised that such events contribute to raising international awareness of Turkmenistan and its rich cultural heritage.
The parties also discussed opportunities for NE Global Media representatives to participate in future international events in Turkmenistan. Such cooperation, they noted, would help provide foreign audiences with more comprehensive information about the country’s development, international initiatives and potential across various sectors.
Saparmyrat Palwanow reaffirmed Turkmenistan’s readiness to further develop cooperation with international media organisations. These efforts will help European audiences access reliable information about Turkmenistan and contribute to greater international recognition of the country’s role on the global stage.
