According to data from the UN World Tourism Organization ("UN Tourism"), Uzbekistan holds leading positions globally in terms of the growth rate of the tourism industry. In January–June 2026 alone, 6.56 million foreign guests visited the country, which is approximately 25% more than the figure from last year.

These successes are achieved through the following main areas:

  • New Hotels and Resorts: International and large hotel complexes are opening, such as the "Beldersoy Resort and Spa" mountain resort center, "Mercure Khiva" in Khiva, and "Reikartz Afrosiyob" in Samarkand.

  • Transport Accessibility: New flight routes and roads (for example, the Tashkent – Samarkand high-speed highway) make traveling to the country's regions much easier.

  • Event Tourism: Major international events such as the "Melon Festival" in Khiva, the "Amirsoy Paradiso" symphonic concert, and "Comic Con Tashkent" attract travelers.

  • New Zones: Ethno-villages, new recreation zones, and walking streets are currently being established.

These comprehensive measures serve as an impetus for the neighboring country to become the main tourism hub in the region.
