
With the aim of elevating the long-standing brotherly relations and cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Turkey to new heights, the Vice President of Turkey, Cevdet Yılmaz, arrives in our capital Ashgabat on June 3 for a two-day official visit. The primary focus areas of the visit's rich program are directed toward the sustainable development of economic relations and high-level meetings.
On the first day of his visit, Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz will attend the committee meeting of the World Turkish Business Council (DTİK) to be organized in Ashgabat and meet with representatives of the leading business groups of both countries to comprehensively discuss investment and trade opportunities.
On June 4, the second day of the visit, high-level political and economic meetings are scheduled. According to Turkish mass media reports, the distinguished guest is expected to be received by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Hero Arkadag, and President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. Furthermore, the Vice President of Turkey will hold separate talks with Nokerguly Atagulyýew, the Vice Premier overseeing the Trade Complex of Turkmenistan.
As part of the visit, Cevdet Yılmaz will also visit the "Turkmen Textile Expo 2026" international exhibition ongoing at the building of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, where he will closely acquaint himself with the pavilions and modern textile products of the manufacturers of the two countries.
The concluding highlight of this historic visit will be the 9th meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Turkish Commission on Economic Cooperation. Following the meeting, the parties will sign a comprehensive final document consisting of 72 articles, covering strategic areas such as energy, transport and logistics corridors, industrial production, and mutual trade turnover. This document will turn into a new roadmap for the economic cooperation between the two nations.
