Due to the influx of cool and moist air masses from the southwest into the country, weather conditions are expected to change in several regions between April 5 and 7, 2026, bringing strong winds and precipitation.
In Ahal, Balkan, Dashoguz, Lebap, and Mary provinces, as well as in the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag, winds shifting from northwest to southeast are expected with speeds of 9–14 meters per second. In some areas, wind gusts may occasionally reach up to 20 meters per second. Additionally, dust storms, heavy rains, and thunderstorms are possible during this period.
Furthermore, rainfall is expected in the foothill regions of neighboring countries located to the south of our borders. Consequently, water levels in rivers may rise between April 5 and 8, 2026.
In the mudflow channels located in the foothills, there is a possibility of flash floods forming due to the impact of the rains. In this regard, citizens living in the affected regions and relevant authorities are advised to be cautious and observe safety measures.
