The Central Asia Yearbook on International Law (CAYIL) has announced a call for papers for its second volume, to be published in 2027.

The publication provides an opportunity for experts conducting research in the field of international law, experienced lawyers, and government representatives to publish their works.

The editorial board primarily focuses on scholarly works that examine international law from the perspective of Central Asian countries, prepared by regional scholars, or hold significant importance for Central Asia. Scholarly works on other aspects of international law are also accepted for consideration.

Authors can submit scholarly articles, practice-oriented legal essays, reviews of recent legal developments and relevant legal literature, case notes and commentaries on international treaties, as well as studies dedicated to the state practice of Central Asian countries.

Materials must be prepared in academic English. The length of scholarly articles must not exceed 10,000 words, including footnotes. Citations must be formatted in accordance with the 5th edition of the OSCOLA standard.

All scholarly articles submitted to the publication will undergo a double-blind peer review process. In addition, authors must disclose if artificial intelligence tools were used in preparing the manuscript.
