World Moments: New Trade Agreement and Peace Steps

The EU supports gender equality. The head of the European Union’s foreign policy arm, Kaja Kallas, announced at a press conference organized in Tallinn that the role of women in peace negotiations must be strengthened to ensure global stability and resolve conflicts. Analyses by the UN Security Council also confirm the stability and value that women's contribution brings to diplomatic relations.

Furthermore, a trade agreement has been approved. The European Parliament approved the "Turnberry" trade agreement between the EU and the USA. According to the document, the EU will completely eliminate customs duties on American goods, invest $600 billion into the US economy, and purchase energy resources worth $750 billion. The USA, in turn, commits to limiting the customs duties on European goods to a maximum level of 15%.
