A Confident Step Toward the Semi-Finals: Grand Victory for Young Turkmen Tennis Stars

Turkmen tennis players have reached the semi-finals of the Junior Davis Cup (U-16) Asia/Oceania Pre-Qualifying round in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The Turkmen squad achieved this remarkable feat by defeating the fifth-seeded Philippine team 2-0 in the quarter-finals.

This marks the fourth consecutive victory for the Turkmen team in the "DCJ Asia/Oceania Pre-Qualifying" tournament. Previously, they secured the top spot in Group B by defeating Oman (3-0), Myanmar (2-1), and Singapore (2-1).

In the semi-finals, Turkmenistan will face Vietnam. The success of the young players highlights the significant contribution of their personal coaches and the team captain, Gurbanberdi Gurbanberdiyev, a coach-instructor from the Higher Sports Excellence School of Turkmenistan.
