Irish athlete Conor McGregor has officially confirmed his return to the UFC after a five-year hiatus. He announced this on his Instagram page.
The 18-month suspension of McGregor, a former two-division UFC champion, ended on March 20. This restriction was imposed by Combat Sports Anti-Doping in October 2025. The fighter had been provisionally suspended after failing to undergo doping tests three times in 2024.
According to journalist Ariel Helwani, McGregor's first comeback fight is scheduled to take place on July 11 in Las Vegas as part of the UFC 330 event.
McGregor has 22 wins and 6 losses in his MMA career. He was the first fighter in UFC history to simultaneously hold championship belts in two weight classes — featherweight and lightweight.
