
On March 30, 2026, as part of an official visit, a meeting was held between the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, N. Atagulyyew, and the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Ms. M. Kvrivishvili.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and promising opportunities of bilateral economic relations. Special attention was paid to the issues of expanding trade and economic cooperation, encouraging mutual investments, and implementing joint projects in priority areas. The parties expressed interest in developing cooperation in the fields of energy, transport, digital economy, and innovations, noting the importance of creating favorable conditions for establishing direct contacts between the business communities of Turkmenistan and Georgia.
The role of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Georgian Commission on Economic Cooperation was particularly emphasized in coordinating bilateral cooperation, ensuring systematic dialogue between relevant sectors, and implementing the reached agreements.
At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed their commitment to further deepening bilateral cooperation and continuing the productive negotiations.
