A major breakthrough has been recorded in the history of development of the entrepreneurship and high-tech manufacturing sector of Turkmenistan. The Turkmen delegation led by Hydyrberdi Abdurahmanov, Director General of the "Aydyn Gijeler" Economic Society, held successful high-level talks with King Mswati III of the Kingdom of Eswatini and members of the Kingdom's government in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. As a result of the meetings, extensive agreements were reached on providing this African nation with new-generation identity documents, as well as technological and infrastructural products.
This contract has become a clear proof that the private sector of Turkmenistan is fully capable of implementing innovative and high-tech projects at the international level.
The relations between the "Aydyn Gijeler" Economic Society and the Kingdom of Eswatini went through a path of consistent development:
The successful completion of all tests and inspections, earning positive reports from the authorized structures of the Kingdom of Eswatini, created a solid foundation for the historic meeting at the Royal level in Abu Dhabi.
During the talks held in Abu Dhabi, His Majesty King Mswati III expressed great confidence in the high-tech solutions offered by "Aydyn Gijeler" company. The joint project on producing and supplying 1,500,000 national identification (ID) cards and more than 500,000 biometric passports for the citizens of the Kingdom was fully backed by the state. These important documents will be prepared on the basis of a cryptographic chip platform manufactured by "Austrian Cards" (Austria), which meets the highest requirements of ICAO and the European Union.
In addition, the Turkmen delegation held separate meetings with the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Internal Affairs, and Commerce and Industry of Eswatini, clarifying the contractual-legal framework and delivery schedules of the project.
One of the greatest and historic outcomes of this visit is that, by the order of King Mswati III, a 4-hectare land plot was allocated to "Aydyn Gijeler" company to build its own production facilities (factory) within the territory of the Kingdom of Eswatini. This event raises the relations between the two countries to a qualitatively brand-new stage — the level of international institutional manufacturing.
The "Aydyn Gijeler" Economic Society is the first enterprise of the private sector of Turkmenistan to reach the level of strategic cooperation on the African continent. The company's management expresses its deep gratitude to the Eswatini side for the great trust placed in them, as well as to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero Arkadag, and our esteemed President, Arkadagly Serdar, who create endless opportunities for high-quality national brands to enter the global market.
