«Altyn Asyr» and «Ahal» draw in a thrilling match
The final match of the 11th round of the Turkmenistan Football Championship was a real festival for the fans. The much-anticipated clash between «Altyn Asyr» and «Ahal» at the capital's «Sport Toplumy» stadium ended in a 3:3 draw.
The game started at a high pace. In the 3rd minute, «Altyn Asyr» forward Myrat Annayev opened the scoring. The visitors responded effectively: Magtymberdi Berenov equalized in the 15th minute and then scored his second goal in the 22nd minute to put his team ahead — 1:2.
However, «Altyn Asyr» continued their attacks. In the 25th minute, Myrat Annayev equalized again — 2:2. Towards the end of the first half, in the 37th minute, Begenchmyrat Myradov put «Altyn Asyr» back in front — 3:2.
In the second half, both teams played more cautiously in defense, and in the 71st minute, Ruslan Priyev scored to level the final score — 3:3.
This result favored the championship leader «Arkadag». Currently, «Arkadag» is 12 points ahead of «Ahal». «Altyn Asyr», with 20 points, rounds out the top three.
In the top scorers list, «Arkadag» player Didar Durdyev leads with 9 goals. He is followed by Suleyman Mirzoyev («Ahal») with 6 goals, and Resul Hojayev («Arkadag») and Serdar Gulyyev («Shagadam») with 5 goals each.
The 12th round of the national championship will take place on June 7. The matches will be: «Merw» — «Altyn Asyr», «Arkadag» — «Nebitchi», «Kopetdag» — «Ashgabat», and «Ahal» — «Shagadam».
