Ambassador of Turkmenistan attended the national holiday celebrations of Portugal

Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the French Republic and the Portuguese Republic M. Charyyew attended the festive events organized on Terceira Island (Azores) on the occasion of Portugal Day, Camões Day, and the Day of Portuguese Communities.

Within the framework of the official program, our Ambassador attended a reception organized by the President of the Portuguese Republic for members of the diplomatic corps. He also actively participated in military parades and festive events involving the Portuguese Armed Forces.

During the event, Ambassador M. Charyyew congratulated the President of the Portuguese Republic, António José Seguro, on the national holiday. On behalf of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, he conveyed his best wishes and sincere congratulations for peace and prosperity to the leader of Portugal and the friendly Portuguese people.

During the festive events, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan held a number of meetings with heads of diplomatic missions of various countries and Portuguese officials. The meetings featured an extensive exchange of views on the current state of bilateral cooperation and new opportunities for its development in the future.

This visit served as further evidence of the consistent development of Turkmen-Portuguese relations and the further strengthening of political and diplomatic ties between the two states.
