Amendments will be introduced to several codes and laws in Turkmenistan
Large-scale work is being carried out in the Mejlis of Turkmenistan to improve the country's legislative framework in accordance with the requirements of the time. The Chairperson of the Mejlis, Dunyagozel Gulmanova, reported on this at the Cabinet of Ministers meeting held on June 12.
Legislative improvement efforts Based on proposals received from sectoral management bodies and ministries, the Mejlis is actively continuing work to introduce amendments and addenda to several important regulatory legal acts. Among the documents to be updated are:
- Codes: Customs, Labor, Sanitary, Family, and the Code of Administrative Offenses.
- Laws: Laws of Turkmenistan "On Military Duty and Military Service," "On Administrative Proceedings," "On Courts," and "On Publishing."
Special attention is paid to cooperation with international organizations in the successful implementation of legislative reforms. Representatives of the Mejlis hold regular meetings with representatives of the UN Population Fund and the International Organization for Migration in the country. Furthermore, participation in training seminars organized jointly with relevant state bodies contributes to studying international experience and further modernizing national legislation.
Our honorable President, having assessed the work carried out, noted the importance of consistently continuing the development of new draft laws that meet the requirements of the time.
