Kristin Hawkins, Chargé d'Affaires of the U.S. Embassy in Turkmenistan, noted the importance of American companies' contributions to Turkmenistan's economic development.
The diplomat shared this in the inaugural episode of the "Q&A" video series prepared by the U.S. Embassy in Ashgabat.
According to Kristin Hawkins, the active presence of American companies in Turkmenistan aligns with the economic interests of both countries. In her view, the work carried out by U.S. businesses in Turkmenistan helps further strengthen bilateral relations.
The diplomat also emphasized that there are new opportunities to develop trade and economic cooperation between the two countries. It was noted that expanding business ties in this direction could pave the way for new areas of partnership in the future.
During the video conversation, Kristin Hawkins shared her initial impressions of Turkmenistan. She mentioned that upon arriving in the country, she familiarized herself with joint projects being implemented across various sectors.
Over the course of the interview, Kristin Hawkins also answered several questions in the Turkmen language. Furthermore, she noted that she continues to study Turkmen.
