
Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim stated that the country's strong international relations and political stability have made it possible to maintain stability in oil and gas supplies despite global energy challenges.
In his speech at the groundbreaking ceremony for a highway in the state of Sabah on Saturday, June 13, the Prime Minister highlighted the effectiveness of Malaysia's diplomatic policy. He emphasized that as a result of Malaysia's thoughtful approach, countries like Turkmenistan and Russia recognize it as a close and reliable partner.
Recalling his recent official visit to Turkmenistan, Anwar Ibrahim noted the readiness of Turkmenistan's leadership to continue cooperation with Malaysia in developing one of the world's largest gas fields through the Petronas company.
As is known, on June 12, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, reported at a government meeting on the preparations for the Malaysian Prime Minister's visit to Ashgabat. As one of the priority areas of the foreign policy pursued by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, work continues consistently to strengthen mutually beneficial relations with Asian countries.
