
The official acceptance of applications for those wishing to participate in the anticipated 2026 World Russian Language Championship among foreigners has officially begun.
Participants can compete in this international competition in teams of four. A team may include one group leader and three foreign citizens or stateless persons aged 16 to 35 who have a good command of the Russian language. The qualifying rounds, held in an online format, will run from July to October of this year. Applications for those wishing to participate are accepted via the official website until October 1, 2026.
Based on the results of the qualifying rounds, the top 30 teams showing the highest results will earn the right to participate in the final stage to be held in Moscow. The champions of the competition will be awarded a trophy and may be granted the honorary title of "World Champion in the Russian Language."
