President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedow has signed a Decree and a corresponding Order on conducting the regular military conscription in October–December 2026 and discharging servicemen who have completed their established term of service into the reserve.

In accordance with the Decree, October–December 2026 will see the discharge into the reserve of conscripted servicemen who have fully fulfilled their military duty from the Armed Forces, other military units, and military institutions of Turkmenistan.

During the same period, military conscription will also take place. Male citizens who reach the age of 18 by the day of conscription and have no right to exemption or postponement from military service, as well as citizens up to the age of 27 who have lost the right to a postponement of conscription, will be called up for military service.

The corresponding document enters into force from the moment of its publication. To ensure the implementation of the Decree, the President of Turkmenistan signed a corresponding Order. According to the document, the heads of the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of National Security, the State Border Service, the President's Security Service, and the State Migration Service are instructed to ensure the ceremonial discharge into the reserve of servicemen who have completed their established terms of service.

Furthermore, in accordance with the reserve discharge plans, special encouragement is envisaged for servicemen who have excelled in combat and socio-humanitarian training.
