From April 6 to 11, the cultural capital of Kazakhstan hosted the region’s finest young chess talents. The Asian stage of the World School Team Championship featured 26 teams from 19 Asian countries, with Turkmenistan represented by the team from the A.S. Pushkin Joint Turkmen-Russian School.
The performance of Osman Hamrakuliyev turned into a true triumph. Competing on the most demanding first board, Osman demonstrated remarkable composure and a high level of skill, earning the bronze medal in the individual standings among team leaders.
The Path to Success: Osman has been dedicated to chess since the age of five. Currently, he hones his skills under the guidance of the renowned mentor, Grandmaster Maksat Atabayev. His result in Almaty is the natural outcome of rigorous training and a significant contribution to the development of the school chess movement in Turkmenistan.
The tournament offered more than just competition; participants attended masterclasses from world-leading grandmasters and engaged in a rich cultural program, allowing young talents to exchange experiences with peers from across the continent.
Congratulations: The Amul Info portal team sincerely congratulates Osman Hamrakuliyev, his family, and his coaching staff on this outstanding achievement! We are proud to see Turkmenistan’s younger generation worthily representing our homeland on major international stages. We wish Osman many more elegant matches and brilliant victories!
