Chinese Ambassador to Turkmenistan notes Sinopec's role in energy cooperation

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Turkmenistan, Ji Shumin, paid a working visit to the branch of "Sinopec Petroleum Technology Corporation" in our country. As is known, this company is a specialized structure of the "Sinopec Group" — one of China's largest oil refining and petrochemical complexes — which provides services such as drilling, maintenance, and engineering support in oil and gas fields.

During the visit, the diplomat familiarized himself with the daily production and business activities of the enterprise. The Ambassador highly praised the significant contribution made by the Turkmen branch of "Sinopec" to the strengthening and development of strategic energy cooperation between the two countries. He also emphasized that wide opportunities are opening up as a result of the mutual alignment of China's "Belt and Road" initiative and Turkmenistan's "Revival of the Great Silk Road" strategy.

At the bilateral meeting, Ji Shumin paid special attention to the importance of strictly observing all safety rules and regulations, as well as strengthening comprehensive quality control over the projects being implemented.
