The international exhibition held in Ashgabat has become more than just a presentation platform; it has turned into a hub for new initiatives in Turkmenistan's agriculture. "Jinfengyuan Seed Industry," one of China's largest companies in the seed sector, announced its readiness to bring its 20 years of experience to Turkmen fields.
Cotton varieties offered by Chinese breeders, such as "Xinliu-Zao 78," "Xinliu-Zhong 68," and "J206-5," stand out not only for their high yields but also for their resilience to the region's changing climate conditions. The greatest advantage of these varieties is the quality of their fiber. These fibers serve as the most suitable raw material for the high-speed machinery demanded by the modern textile industry.
These innovations have proven themselves not only on paper but also in the fields of neighboring Uzbekistan. Currently, seeds brought from Xinjiang are already being tested in the soil and climate conditions of Turkmenistan. Local specialists and Chinese experts are jointly monitoring the adaptation and future yield potential of these plants.
The proposal from Chinese partners is not limited to selling seeds. They offer the Turkmen side the expertise of advanced biological laboratories, modern processing technologies, and continuous scientific support. This will contribute to a fundamental technological renewal of Turkmenistan's agrarian system.
These meetings in Ashgabat represent a new stage of economic cooperation between the two countries. These direct relations being established lay the foundation for long-term and mutually beneficial projects. For Turkmenistan's agricultural sector, these steps will provide a significant boost to bringing the quality and quantity of "white gold" to a global level.
