Great attention is paid to rice cultivation in Dashoguz velayat: Organized work continues for a bountiful harvest

This year, the farmers of Dashoguz velayat are working hard to make their worthy contribution to ensuring food abundance in our country. Rice cultivation is one of the key sectors of agriculture in the velayat, with the Saparmurat Turkmenbashi etrap holding a leading position in rice production.

Large-scale works are planned for this year in major farms that are effectively engaged in rice production. Specifically, 4,300 hectares of land have been sown with rice in the specialized "S.A. Niyazov" daikhan association, and 3,000 hectares in the "27 October" daikhan association. In addition, representatives of the private sector are also showing activity, with the "Ykbal açary" business entity planning to grow rice on 800 hectares.

This year, rice growers have prioritized the "Nukus-2" rice variety, which is fully adapted to local soil and climatic conditions and has been distinguished by its high yields for many years. This variety is notable not only for its abundant harvest but also for its disease resistance and high taste quality.

All necessary conditions have been created in the velayat to increase the efficiency of the sector. The availability of sufficient specialized machinery allows for all agrotechnical measures to be carried out in a timely and high-quality manner. Furthermore, the operation of high-tech cleaning enterprises near the rice fields allows for the immediate processing of the harvested crop and delivery of finished products to consumers.

The rich experience accumulated by Dashoguz rice growers, combined with the use of modern technologies, provides full justification for the expectation that a bountiful harvest of "white gold" — rice — will be gathered this year as well. The consistent development of this sector is of great importance in strengthening the food security of the velayat and increasing the export potential of our country.
