On April 11, in Moscow, within the walls of the A.N. Scriabin Museum, a unique musical evening will take place where classical opera meets Turkmen melisms, and the premieres of Mamed Guseynov's new works will intertwine with the legacy of Nury Khalmamedov.
Darya Guseynova's voice is well-known to opera lovers from Canada to Estonia, but her work holds special significance for the Turkmen audience. An artist of the Moscow "Helikon-Opera" theater and a student of the famous professor Ruben Lisitsian, Darya is currently one of the leading performers widely promoting Turkmen classical music on the international stage.
The festive evening at Bolshoy Nikolopeskovsky Lane promises to be an event much deeper than a standard concert format. It will be more than just a performance; it will be a warm gathering of like-minded people. Alongside the birthday celebrant, her colleagues, friends, and students will take the stage, while the "Gofman Choir," the women's chamber choir of the Russian Academy of Arts, will provide a special richness of sound.
The concert program is structured as a living dialogue between eras and styles. The evening will feature the profound philosophical works of Nury Khalmamedov and the delicate compositions of Jeren Kurbanklycheva. Of particular interest is the performance edition of Khalmamedov's works by Darya. It should be recalled that in 2023, her work formed the basis of the anniversary collection dedicated to the composer's 85th birthday.
A special gift awaits the guests of the gala evening — new vocal works by Mamed Guseynov will be performed for the first time in public.
Darya Guseynova is one of those rare artists whose stage creativity develops alongside scientific work. Having refined her performance skills in masterclasses by Elena Obraztsova and Marina Meshcheryakova, she combines them with an exquisite and attentive approach to musical notation. Her contribution to preserving the musical heritage of Turkmenistan turns every concert into a significant cultural event.
Concert starts: April 11, 17:00.
Venue: Concert Hall of the A.N. Scriabin Memorial Museum, Moscow.
