
An official delegation led by the Deputy Prosecutor General of Turkmenistan is actively participating in the 35th session of the United Nations Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice (CCPCJ) held in Vienna, Austria. This important international event, running from June 1 to June 5, 2026, is reported on the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
Representatives of the UN member states participating in the international forum are comprehensively discussing matters related to further improving criminal justice systems, strengthening the rule of law and stability worldwide, and elevating international cooperation to new heights in the consistent fight against transnational organized crime, which poses a global threat.
During the session, the head of the delegation of Turkmenistan delivered a dedicated statement. In his speech, he clearly emphasized our country's positive role and international initiatives in developing effective cooperation against transnational organized crime at both global and regional levels.
The delegation noted that consistent and sustainable state-level measures are being undertaken in Turkmenistan to completely eradicate all forms of organized crime and to ensure justice. In this context, it was specifically highlighted that the national programs currently adopted and effectively implemented in our country to combat terrorism, human trafficking, corruption, and illicit drug trafficking strictly comply with the highest standards of international law.
