
The holy holiday of Muslim nations, Eid al-Adha (Kurban Bayram), will be celebrated on May 27-28-29, 2026. President Serdar Berdimuhamedow signed the corresponding Decree today during the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held via the digital system. This was reported in the "Watan" news program.
As noted, the document was adopted with the aim of carefully preserving the centuries-old spiritual and moral values of the Turkmen people, consistently developing national traditions and customs inherited from ancestors, and based on such noble principles as generosity, goodwill, and humanism, to further strengthen the unity and solidarity of the brave and high-spirited Turkmen people in the Era of the Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State, and in accordance with Article 81 of the Labor Code of Turkmenistan. Based on the Decree of the Head of State, these holidays are declared non-working days in Turkmenistan.
