Eight-Year-Old Turkmen Tennis Player Competes Successfully in Kazakhstan, Winning Two Gold Medals

The young athlete of Turkmenistan, Alihan Nuryagdyýew, achieved a great success on the international tennis court and managed to make a name for himself. He was awarded two gold medals at once in the prestigious international tournament titled "Aktobe Masters 10&Under GA Road to TOP 8", held in the city of Aktobe, Kazakhstan, between May 25th and 30th.

A total of 96 boys and 96 girls under the age of 10 participated in this international competition, representing the strongest children's tennis players from various countries. Despite the fierce competition and his younger age, the 8-year-old Alihan Nuryagdyýew managed to demonstrate his skills and confident play in both singles and doubles categories.

In the singles competition, our compatriot, who competed under the 60th seed, defeated all his opponents, and in the final, beat the tournament's 5th seed, G. Istomin from Kazakhstan, with a score of 4:1, 4:2, and ascended to the highest step of the podium. In the doubles tournament, Alihan competed alongside Nawid Sabyrow, a tennis player from the city of Atyrau, Kazakhstan, and won yet another gold medal.

This tournament was the first major international competition for Alihan Nuryagdyýew. Nevertheless, the young tennis player displayed excellent technique, self-confidence, and a true sporting character on the court, capturing the attention of coaches and fans alike.

The young champion, representing our capital Ashgabat, currently trains under the leadership of experienced coaches such as Ýuriý Rogusskiý and Meýlis Orazmuhammedow. It is also known that Alihan is an exemplary student, studying with distinction at the Joint Turkmen-Russian Secondary School named after A.S. Pushkin, and has been awarded a Certificate of Honor for his academic achievements.

Prior to this, he had also won prize-winning places in competitions held in Turkmenistan among children under 8 years old. Experts particularly emphasize his diligence, discipline, and bright future. This spectacular victory of Alihan Nuryagdyýew in Aktobe is a major success not only for himself but also for Turkmen tennis, which has been demonstrating consistent growth on the international stage in recent years.
