English: Turkmenistan and Pakistan Take Sports Cooperation to a New Level

A meeting was held between the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Turkmenistan, Ms. Faryal Leghari, and the Chairman of the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports of Turkmenistan, Allaberdi Saparov. The main topic of the talks was the further development of sports relations between the two countries.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the future of their cooperation. The Ambassador of Pakistan noted the high level of mutual friendly relations and presented the Turkmen side with official "Trionda" model footballs, specially prepared for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. This gift was accepted as a clear sign of strengthening cooperation in the sports sector and unity during the World Cup.

It was also reported that, in recognition of his contribution to the development of national football, a similar football for specialists was presented to the President of the Football Federation of Turkmenistan, Guvanchmuhammet Ovekova.

At the end of the negotiations, the parties expressed mutual interest in organizing friendly matches between athletes of the two brotherly nations. According to the parties, such initiatives will not only strengthen sports ties but also create great opportunities for sharing experience.
