Turkish football club Fenerbahçe has announced the termination of its cooperation with head coach İsmail Kartal. According to the club’s official statement, the decision was reached by mutual agreement and with mutual respect after the coach expressed his wish to leave the position.

The club’s management thanked İsmail Kartal for his contribution to the team’s development, his hard work, and his loyalty to Fenerbahçe. They also wished him success in his future professional career.

The 65-year-old coach was appointed head coach of Fenerbahçe for the fourth time on June 18. Under his leadership, the team played a total of 18 matches. Nine were held in the UEFA Champions League, while the remaining nine were played in Türkiye’s Trendyol Süper Lig.

During these matches, Fenerbahçe recorded nine wins, five draws, and four defeats.

İsmail Kartal’s final match in charge of the team was against Galatasaray in the Turkish league. Fenerbahçe lost the derby 2–1.

Thus, following an agreement between the club’s management and the coach, the two parties have brought their cooperation to an end.
