On September 20, 2026, elections for deputies of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the ninth convocation will be held. Citizens of the Russian Federation residing and temporarily staying in Turkmenistan will be able to cast their votes at five polling stations opening in Ashgabat, Turkmenbashi, Turkmenabat, Mary, and Dashoguz.
Organized by the Embassy of Russia in Turkmenistan, the polling stations will cover all velayats of the country. They will be open from 08:00 to 20:00 local time.
Polling station No. 8035 in Ashgabat will be located in the building of the Education, Science, and Culture Department of the Russian Embassy at 11 Turkmenbashi Avenue.
Station No. 8291 in Turkmenbashi will be located at the Consular Section of the Russian Embassy at 81a Magtymguly Avenue, while station No. 8290 in Turkmenabat will be at the Lebap Velayat Culture Center at 129A Bitarap Turkmenistan Street.
Polling station No. 8288 in Mary will be set up in the city khyakimlik building at 31 Vatan Street, and station No. 8287 in Dashoguz will be in the city khyakimlik building at 9, 10 Yyl Abadanchylik Street.
Citizens of the Russian Federation who have reached the age of 18 are eligible to participate in the elections. To vote, the voter must be personally present at the polling station and present a valid foreign, diplomatic, or service passport.
