Harvest Season Kicks Off in the Grain Fields of Akhal, Lebap, and Mary Velayats of Turkmenistan

An organized start has been made to the grain harvest, one of the most responsible and solemn seasons in the agriculture of Turkmenistan. With the blessing of our Honorable President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the "Bismillah" of the respected elders of our nation, the 2026 harvest season was solemnly launched in Akhal, Lebap, and Mary velayats.

According to the "Watan" news program, the celebrations marking the beginning of the white wheat harvest were held not just in the spirit of a working season, but as a grand festival. As part of the events, production meetings, lively musical performances, and special exhibitions dedicated to agricultural achievements were organized in the velayats. Furthermore, to enrich the seasonal celebrations even further, interesting excursions to the museums and cultural-historical monuments of the regions were arranged.

Thanks to the dedication of the hardworking grain growers, the first wheat kharmans (grain heaps) have begun to form in the fields. Bread and bakery products baked from the first grains of the new harvest have become a sacred symbol of the eternal bond between the bounty of the Turkmen land and human labor. On behalf of the Head of State, valuable gifts were presented to the tenant farmers who achieved high results and stood out on the very first day of the harvest season.

Alongside harvesting the wheat without any loss, the hardworking farmers are already taking care of next year's crop starting today. In the fields cleared of wheat, efforts to collect the straw in a short time and subsequently launch round-the-clock plowing operations are being carried out at a high pace.
