The Tunisian Football Federation has officially announced the appointment of experienced French specialist Hervé Renard as the head coach of the national team during the World Cup.
This decision was made after the team, under the leadership of previous coach Sabri Lamouchi, suffered a heavy defeat against Sweden (1:5). As noted in the federation's statement, 57-year-old Hervé Renard begins his duties today. According to the contract, after the conclusion of the World Cup, the parties are expected to hold discussions on long-term cooperation based on sporting objectives achieved.
Hervé Renard is known in the football world for his successes with national teams of African countries. During his coaching career, he has led teams such as Morocco, Ivory Coast, Angola, and Zambia, and managed to win the Africa Cup of Nations with Ivory Coast and Zambia.
The Tunisian Football Federation expresses confidence that the experience and skills of the new coach will help improve the team's results at the World Cup.
