Another major success has been recorded in the history of Turkmen boxing. Famous Turkmen boxer Hursand Imankuliyev achieved a brilliant victory in professional boxing and became the owner of the prestigious "WBC Eurasia" championship belt.
On May 29 of this year, the "WBC Eurasia Boxing Night" international boxing evening was organized at the modern "Humo Arena" sports complex in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan. Famous sports figures, including the Vice-President of the Olympic Council of Asia, Otabek Umarov, specially attended this prestigious event, which attracted the attention of the world sports community.
In the championship bout held in the light middleweight category (up to 69.8 kg), our compatriot stepped into the ring against Tanzanian boxer Adam Dhacha. The fact that the opponent had 8 wins, only 1 loss, and 1 draw in his professional career indicated that the match would be competitive. However, the Turkmen athlete showed complete dominance in the ring, managing to defeat his opponent ahead of time in the first round, and won a confident victory.
Hursand Imankuliyev is an international master of sports and a 10-time champion of Turkmenistan. He has previously protected the sports honor of our country at the World Championships and the Asian Games. The athlete's track record also includes a bronze medal from the 2017 Islamic Solidarity Games and a gold medal from the XXXV Feliks Stamm International Tournament held in Poland in 2018.
This triumph achieved in Tashkent was recorded as Imankuliyev's first major title in the professional ring.
