A new batch of medical humanitarian aid sent by the Republic of Uzbekistan for the Islamic Republic of Iran has been successfully delivered to its designated destination. This time, the transit route of the humanitarian caravan passed through the territory of Turkmenistan.
The valuable medical cargo was officially welcomed at the "Artyk – Lutfabad" international checkpoint located on the Turkmen-Iranian border and handed over to the Iranian side.
This caravan, which is a clear example of regional humanitarian cooperation, consisted of a total of 15 large trucks. The relevant assistance includes various medicines, as well as specialized medical products and equipment necessary for the healthcare system. On the occasion of the delivery of the cargo, an official ceremony was organized in the border zone. Representatives of regional diplomatic and administrative agencies actively participated in it.
The ambassadors of Uzbekistan and Iran to Turkmenistan, as well as leading representatives and responsible officials from various state, regional, customs, and healthcare institutions of Iran, met at the event. The speakers noted the importance of interregional relations and mutual support, drawing special attention to the role of Turkmenistan, which provided transit opportunities in the organization of this humanitarian action. The smooth arrival of the cargo once again proved the high level of logistics and border relations between neighboring countries.
