In January-May, nearly 137 thousand Turkmen citizens visited Uzbekistan
In the first five months of 2026, the interest of Turkmen travelers in Uzbekistan remained high. According to the Statistics Agency of Uzbekistan, the number of our citizens who visited the neighboring country during this period reached 136.9 thousand.

According to statistical data, Turkmenistan holds the seventh place in the list of foreign citizens visiting Uzbekistan. The countries leading the tourism market in Uzbekistan are as follows:
- Kyrgyzstan — 1 million 539.5 thousand people;
- Kazakhstan — 1 million 246.6 thousand people;
- Tajikistan — 1 million 211 thousand people;
- Russia — 465.8 thousand people;
- Afghanistan — 198.9 thousand people;
- China — 178.1 thousand people;
- Turkmenistan — 136.9 thousand people.
In total, Uzbekistan welcomed 5 million 351.8 thousand tourists from various parts of the world in the first five months of this year. This figure represents a 27.3 percent increase compared to the same period last year, indicating rapid development of the tourism sector in the region.
