Lebap’s Industrial Milestones: "Turkmengips" Plant and New Complexes
In the city of Dostluk, Dovletli district of Lebap region, the construction of a new plant for the "Türkmengips" Economic Society—a major facility for building materials—is progressing rapidly. According to the report by Vice-Premier Baymyrat Annamammedov at the Cabinet of Ministers meeting, once operational, the plant will have an annual capacity of:
- 250,000 tons of dry mortar mixes;
- 20 million square meters of gypsum board products.
Great importance is placed on both industrial and social development in the region. A total of 8 major buildings and facilities are scheduled to open in Lebap this year. Strategic projects under the "Turkmenhimiya" State Concern are also underway:
- S.A. Niyazov Chemical Plant in Turkmenabat: Construction continues on a new complex to produce 350,000 tons of superphosphate and 100,000 tons of ammonium sulfate annually.
- Garlyk Potassium Mining and Processing Complex: Systematic work is being carried out in the Koytendag district to bring this massive facility to its full design capacity.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the significance of improving the region's industrial and transport infrastructure, instructing that special attention be paid to construction quality and the modernization of highways.
