A regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan was held via the digital system, during which the results of the country's socio-economic development over the first seven months of 2026 were reviewed. It was noted that during the reporting period, the gross domestic product (GDP) growth rate remained stable at 6.3 percent. Positive results were achieved in the main sectors of the economy, including industry, construction, transport and communications, trade, and agriculture, while the total volume of production increased by 10.4 percent.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed satisfaction that the construction of major industrial facilities, new settlements, and residential buildings is progressing successfully across the country. He emphasized the importance of ensuring the timely and high-quality implementation of the adopted state programs.
During the meeting, special attention was paid to positive news received from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It was noted that during the plenary meeting of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly, the Resolution entitled "2028 – International Year of International Law", initiated by Turkmenistan, was unanimously adopted. The initiative is expected to make a significant contribution to strengthening peace, justice, and security around the world.
The meeting also heard reports on measures being taken to increase the capacity of the country's oil and gas sector, to ensure the high-quality implementation of seasonal agricultural activities, and to further develop the fields of education, science, healthcare, culture, and sports.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Head of State reminded government officials that their annual leave was beginning and wished them a pleasant отдых and good health at the country's health resorts and the Avaza National Tourist Zone.
