
A delegation led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov, has arrived in the capital of Turkmenistan for a two-day official visit. The main purpose of the visit is to strengthen the strategic partnership between the two states and to hold the next round of political consultations between the foreign ministries.
The first day of the visit was filled with events symbolizing the friendly relations and historical-cultural ties between the two countries. The head of the Uzbek foreign policy agency and the members of the delegation took part in a flower-laying ceremony at the Independence Monument.
The delegation also visited the "Magtymguly Pyragy" cultural-park complex and laid flowers at the monument to the great Uzbek poet and thinker Alisher Navoi. This event became a clear sign of the enduring spiritual ties between the brotherly peoples.
The delegation's cultural program continued with a tour of the State Museum of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan. The guests got acquainted with archaeological finds and ethnographic values that showcase the country's rich history. The cultural part of the visit concluded with a demonstration of Akhal-Teke horses at the Ashgabat Equestrian Complex.
The cultural events created a positive foundation for the business part of the visit. On the second day, high-level negotiations are scheduled between the delegations of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. Following the talks, it is planned to sign a package of joint documents aimed at further developing cooperation between the two countries.
This visit demonstrates that Turkmen-Uzbek relations are successfully developing in all directions.
