
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has announced new high-level appointments aimed at further strengthening its strategy and investment projects in the region. Nodira Mansurova has been appointed as the new EBRD Regional Director for Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan. She will officially assume her new duties on September 1, 2026.
Ms. Mansurova will succeed Ayten Rustamova, who has successfully led this region since 2021. The permanent workplace of the new Regional Director will be Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, from where all major projects of the bank across these three regional states will be coordinated.
Nodira Mansurova possesses a rich, 25-year-long professional experience within the EBRD structures. Originally from Uzbekistan and a citizen of the United Kingdom, Ms. Mansurova joined the bank's team in 2001. During this period, she represented the institution at the headquarters in London, as well as in several key regions of EBRD operations, including Egypt, Jordan, and Uzbekistan.
She is a specialist focused on opening new financial markets, reforming various sectors of the economy, and implementing large-scale projects in the field of municipal and environmental infrastructure.
Nodira Mansurova is very closely familiar with the Central Asian region. Previously, she competently served as the Senior Regional Head of EBRD for Small and Medium Enterprises Finance and Development in the region, based in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
The international experience of Ms. Mansurova in supporting small and medium-sized enterprises, implementing digital systems, and environmental initiatives is expected to give a new and powerful impetus to EBRD projects in Turkmenistan. Currently, the bank continues to actively cooperate with the private sector in our country, supporting sustainable economic growth.
