Turkmen specialists took part in the “Climate — Youth — Mountains” summer educational programme held with the participation of young people from Central Asia and exchanged views on environmental issues.

Representatives of the Myrat Garryyev State Medical University of Turkmenistan participated in the regional summer educational programme “Climate — Youth — Mountains”, held in the Issyk-Kul region of Kyrgyzstan. This was reported by the press service of the higher education institution.

The educational programme, organised by the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, took place from August 16 to 22. Young representatives from Central Asian countries participated in the programme and expanded their knowledge in such areas as climate change, environmental protection, conservation of mountain ecosystems and strengthening the role of young people in addressing environmental challenges in the region.

During the event, participants attended educational sessions, open discussions and various practical activities, exchanging experience in environmental protection. Representatives of Turkmenistan also presented initiatives aimed at ensuring environmental well-being in the region.

At the conclusion of the educational programme, special certificates were presented to its participants.

The participation of Turkmen representatives in this international event contributed to developing young people’s environmental knowledge and practical skills, promoting experience exchange among the youth of Central Asian countries, and strengthening regional cooperation in environmental protection.
