The 1st Central Asian Student Sports Forum will be held in Uzbekistan from September 29 to October 2, 2026. Representatives of Turkmenistan are also expected to participate in this important regional sporting event.
According to the National News Agency of Uzbekistan, the forum will be organized as part of the visit of Leonz Eder, President of the International University Sports Federation (FISU), to Tashkent.
Along with FISU officials, representatives of the student sports federations of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan will participate in the event.
The main objective of the forum is to exchange international experience in developing student sports, discuss important issues arising in this field, and further strengthen cooperation among Central Asian countries in the sports sector.
During the meetings, participants will exchange views on modern methods of developing student sports, solutions to existing challenges in the sports sector, and opportunities for future cooperation.
The event is expected to expand the exchange of experience among the student sports federations of Central Asian countries and give new impetus to the development of student sports in the region.
