Russian mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Usman Nurmagomedov defeated American Archie Colgan, successfully defending his Professional Fighters League (PFL) lightweight championship belt. The bout took place in New York City, USA.
The match ended in the second round, with the Russian fighter securing a victory by technical knockout.
Nurmagomedov successfully defended his PFL championship belt for the second time. He won the belt last October by defeating Ireland's Paul Hughes via a judges' decision.
In February of this year, he defeated Britain's Alfie Davis. From 2022 to 2025, he served as the Bellator champion.
The 28-year-old Usman Nurmagomedov is the cousin of former UFC champion Khabib Nurmagomedov. To date, his record stands at 22 wins and no losses, with one bout ruled a no-contest.
Meanwhile, 31-year-old Archie Colgan suffered the first defeat of his professional career, having previously won 15 consecutive fights.
