Turkmenistan continues its efforts to modernize the material and technical infrastructure of its international airports and expand their capabilities. Particular attention is being paid to developing cooperation with international partners, improving the quality of ground handling services and broadening the range of aeronautical navigation services.
At the Cabinet of Ministers meeting held on Friday, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Batyr Annayev delivered a report on ongoing efforts to improve service standards at the country’s international airports and upgrade their technical equipment.
Turkmenistan’s advantageous geographical location, its position at the intersection of important intercontinental air routes and the availability of modern airports are increasing international airlines’ interest in the country. These factors create extensive opportunities for the development of transit and scheduled air services.
As part of the programme to strengthen the material and technical infrastructure of international airports, the introduction of modern service vehicles and specialized equipment is planned in cooperation with leading international companies in the aviation industry. These measures are aimed at improving the quality of passenger services, increasing the efficiency of air traffic management and supporting the development of international air transport.
The modernization of the country’s air transport system is of considerable importance for expanding Turkmenistan’s transit transport capabilities and strengthening its position in the international aviation market.
