The Honorable President sent a condolence letter to the Emir of the State of Qatar

The Honorable President Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent a letter of condolences to the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, on the passing of his father, the former Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.

In his letter, our Head of State stated: "May the Almighty Allah grant you and your family members spiritual fortitude and patience during this difficult time. May the soul of the deceased rest in peace," and expressed sincere condolences to Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and the entire people of the State of Qatar.

Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani passed away at the age of 74. He ruled the State of Qatar from 1995 to 2013. In June 2013, he voluntarily abdicated the throne, handing power to his son, the current Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
