In the western region of Turkmenistan, the construction of a new transport corridor of international and interregional importance continues at a rapid pace. The "Turkmenbashi — Garabogaz — Kazakhstan border" highway, which is being constructed within the territory of Balkan velayat, will be capable of providing high-quality service to up to 580 vehicles per hour, and up to 14 thousand vehicles within a 24-hour period after it is fully put into operation. This is reported in detail in the "Turkmenistan" newspaper.
This large-scale infrastructure project is being carried out by the "Altyn nesil" Economic Society, a member of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan. It is planned to fully complete the construction works of the new highway with a total length of nearly 250 kilometers and commission it in the year 2028.
All comfortable conditions for passengers and drivers will be created along this road, which is being built in accordance with modern requirements. According to the project, 8 modern bus stops, several gas stations, as well as numerous necessary social facilities will be constructed along the roadside.
In order to ensure a high level of traffic and safety, the opposing traffic lanes of the highway will be separated and protected from each other by special concrete barriers. In addition, unobstructed protective guardrails will be installed on both sides of the road to achieve reliable vehicle movement.
This new highway will play an important role in further expanding the transit transport capabilities of our country and strengthening economic relations with neighboring states.
