The President of Turkmenistan held a digital working meeting

Yesterday, esteemed President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular digital working meeting with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T.Atahallyyew and the khyakims of the velayats. The meeting focused on seasonal works carried out in the country's agro-industrial complex and measures implemented for the socio-economic development of the regions.

During the working meeting, the khyakims of the velayats reported on the work being carried out to prepare fields cleared of grain harvest for next year's wheat sowing, enrich the soil through ploughing and leveling techniques, and prepare machinery and high-quality seeds to be used during the sowing. It was also noted that inter-row cultivation, mineral fertilization, and vegetation irrigation are properly continuing in cotton-sown fields in accordance with agrotechnical standards.

In addition, it was reported that necessary maintenance works are being carried out in rice-sown fields in Dashoguz and Lebap velayats, and sugar beet-sown fields in Mary velayat, and preparations are underway for the autumn sowing of potatoes, vegetables, and other crops to strengthen food abundance in our country. The khyakims also provided detailed information on the status of construction works at cultural, social, and production-purpose facilities scheduled for commissioning in the velayats this year.

Having listened to the reports, esteemed President Serdar Berdimuhamedov drew attention to the important role of the agricultural sector in our national economy. The Head of State noted that cotton care works and preparatory measures for laying the foundation of next year's wheat harvest must fully comply with agrotechnical standards and be carried out in a timely manner. He also instructed to keep under strict control the quality and timely completion of construction works at facilities expected to be opened in the country.

During the meeting, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T.Atahallyyew reported on the general state of affairs in the country's agro-industrial complex and seasonal measures implemented in the sector.
