
In the first quarter of 2026, the reputation of Turkmenistan's confectionery products abroad has increased significantly. According to a new report from the Statistics Agency of Uzbekistan, during the first two months of the year, Turkmenistan secured a top position among the countries exporting the most chocolate to the neighboring market.
During the reporting period (January-February), Uzbekistan imported approximately 6.6 thousand tons of chocolate products from 34 countries, worth a total of 27.7 million USD. Turkmen producers sent 209.1 tons of products to the neighboring market during this period, managing to outperform even long-standing competitors in this field.

As shown by the indicators, Turkmenistan surpassed strong exporters like Kazakhstan and Turkey, strengthening its regional position. Despite an overall decrease in total imports by 1.1 thousand tons compared to last year, the large volume of Turkmen exports proves the growing interest and trust of consumers in chocolates produced in Turkmenistan.
