
Turkmen athletes performed successfully at the "Karate1 Youth League" international tournament held in Manila, the capital of the Philippines, winning gold and bronze medals.
This prestigious competition, organized under the auspices of the World Karate Federation (WKF), brought together nearly 790 athletes from 58 countries, competing in age groups ranging from 12 to 20 years old. According to the Karate-do Federation of Turkmenistan, the national team participated with 4 athletes, 1 coach, and 3 international-level referees.
Achievements of the winners:
Both athletes train in the national team under the guidance of coach Aydyn Charyyev, who holds a 5th-dan black belt.
It is worth noting that Alimuhammet Kakalyyev has been consistently successful in these international competitions. He also won bronze medals at the "Karate1 Youth League" events in the UAE and Spain in 2024. Additionally, in February of this year, another Turkmen athlete, Gurbannazar Amandurdyyev, won a bronze medal at the tournament in Fujairah, UAE, upholding the reputation of our national team.
