The delegation of Turkmenistan, which participated in the 9th meeting of the Subcommittee on Humanitarian Cooperation, visited the National Museum of China in Beijing.
As reported on the website of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, the Turkmen representatives viewed a special exhibition dedicated to the "Year of the Horse" according to the Chinese calendar. This exhibition reflects the historical role of the horse in the development of Chinese civilization.
The guide emphasized the significance of horse-breeding culture in the development of relations between the peoples of Eurasia. In this regard, a special place was given to the historical similarities with the horse-breeding traditions of the Turkmen people. It was noted that the finest horses of Central Asia have been highly valued since ancient times for their beauty, endurance, and speed. These discussions harmonized with the global fame of Akhal-Teke horses—the national treasure of Turkmenistan—which embody grace, nobility, and unparalleled resilience.
Following the specialized exhibition, the delegation of Turkmenistan also visited several permanent sections of the National Museum of China dedicated to the country's ancient history. The representatives showed great interest in China's early historical monuments, ancient ceramic samples, bronze ceremonial vessels, stone inscriptions, as well as terracotta figures and horse images from the Qin era.
This museum visit was an important part of the Turkmen delegation's cultural program in Beijing, providing an opportunity to become more closely acquainted with China's rich historical and cultural heritage.
