A working meeting was held via videoconferencing between representatives of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan and the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan for the purpose of exchanging experience on the rules applied during the customs clearance of imported goods.

The meeting was organized to implement the agreements reached during the bilateral meeting within the framework of the state visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan in June of this year, including the provisions of the Technical Specifications on the exchange of preliminary information on goods and the Protocol on cooperation in the field of customs statistics of mutual trade.

During the conversation, the participants discussed in detail the issues of improving electronic data exchange operations and accelerating goods turnover, and shared their experience regarding the import customs regime.

Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness to implement measures aimed at increasing the efficiency of mutual cooperation.
