
Turkmenistan noted that there are great prospects for creating joint productions, service, and educational centers within the territories of regional countries under the "Central Asia – Germany" format. This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Ahmet Gurbanov, during a meeting in Berlin on February 11, 2026, between the heads of foreign policy agencies of Central Asian countries and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany, Johann Wadephul.
Speaking at the plenary session, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan emphasized the importance of strengthening the strategic dialogue between Central Asian countries and Germany. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The Deputy Minister noted significant opportunities for cooperation with the Federal Republic of Germany in fields such as transport and logistics, energy, industrial production, chemical industry, mechanical engineering, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, the agro-industrial complex, water management, as well as developments in information technology and artificial intelligence.
Within the climate agenda, Turkmenistan highly valued Germany's role in promoting environmental initiatives and specifically highlighted the contribution of the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) to the implementation of relevant projects.
Following the meeting, the parties adopted the Berlin Declaration, which covers a wide range of multilateral cooperation and is aimed at providing additional impetus to the development of the "Central Asia – Germany" format.
