Turkmenistan's freestyle wrestling team to participate in the World Championship in Baku
Another proud event is anticipated in the sports life of our country. The youth freestyle wrestling team of our country has completed preparations to participate in the U-17 World Championship to be held in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan.
The prestigious international competition will take place in Baku as scheduled, from July 27 to August 2 of this year. This world-level competition will provide our young athletes with a broad opportunity to showcase their skills, gain international experience, and worthily defend Turkmenistan's sports prestige on the global arena. The national team has completed the final stage of preparation for this responsible competition at a high level and is ready to set off.
The athletes who will represent our country at the World Championship in Baku will test their strength in their respective weight categories. The composition of the national team of Turkmenistan includes the following talented athletes:
- Noker Guwanjow — in the weight category up to 65 kg;
- Mekan Hudayberenow — in the weight category up to 71 kg;
- Shaapbas Esgerow — in the weight category up to 80 kg.
